PEP, energy psychology, sound and healing energy
The Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology provides a very broad and exciting definition of what Energy Psychology is:
"Based on an integration of quantum physics, psychology,Eastern medicine, and spirituality, Energy Psychology believes that emotional, psychological, and behavioural problems are a reflection of disturbed bio-energetic patterns. Energy Psychology utilizes tools to directly balance the human energy systems.

There are other ways that I work with the energies of the body.
I use sound to affect change through a dialogue of pure sound that mirrors the way I work as a psychotherapist. Ideally this sound is a series of pure tones delivered through my voice which has two aspects of intention. The first is to bring about change through the experience of the sound itself, and secondly to use sound and its vocabulary to engage in a therapeutic sound dialogue. This involves both a conversation in tone and sound and a toning together to entrain and harmonise. Working this way also increases awareness of the sounds made in the unique conversations of psychotherapy.
I have included here a clip featuring Jonathan Goldman demonstrating how to sound the energy centres in your body.
The healing effect of making these sounds is not due simply to the affect of the notes themselves. Moreover it is the affect of the harmonics generated by making them, the intent behind them and the affect of listening to them.
I am a trained healer and have practised under the guildlines of the Healing Trust NFSH for over 25 years. Healing is a completely natural process that promotes better health and serves to integrate mind body and spirit into a state of wholeness. It fits perfectly with the principle set out in the quote from Phil Mollon on my home page.
As a healer I channel energies that are balancing, energising and relaxing. Channeling follows a period of attunement where the healer attunes to a source of energy defined as divine and of the light. This then establishes what is called the healing triangle which is then formed between the healer the client and the source. This notion of the 'healing triangle' is a safe space in which healing can take place safely and effectively and is a major feature of this and the other aspects of my work.
Much of the healing process involves some degree of work on the chakra system, details of which available on the web and in other sources.
A healing session or a series of sessions can support and enhance any recovery from serious illness, complementing and never replacing conventional medicine at all times.Healing is a completely natural process that promotes better health and serves to integrate mind body and spirit into a state of wholeness. It fits perfectly with the principle set out in the quote from Phil Mollon on my home page.

For psyche and body are not separate entities but are one and the same life.

When we work with the psyche and the body's energy system concurrently, there is a powerful therapeutic synergy that is not present when working with the psyche alone or with the body alone.
